ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (WKRG) — Construction is officially underway for a new community in Orange Beach.
According to a news release, Long Bayou Preserve will be located where the Intracoastal Waterway and Long Bayou merge.
The 48-unit gated subdivision will span 36 acres of waterfront land with lots ranging from $700,000 to $1.2 million.
Other amenities will include boat lifts, walking trails, a sporting lodge, and an infinity pool.
Home construction will begin in early 2027 following the completion of entry roads, utilities, and lot preparation.
