New housing on bayou in coastal Alabama hopes to minimally impact environment

48-unit gated community coming to Orange Beach
ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (WKRG) — Construction is officially underway for a new community in Orange Beach.
According to a news release, Long Bayou Preserve will be located where the Intracoastal Waterway and Long Bayou merge.
The 48-unit gated subdivision will span 36 acres of waterfront land with lots ranging from $700,000 to $1.2 million.
